Facial Asymmetry Surgery
Facial asymmetry surgery
Where the jaw, cheekbones or lower face have grown or shifted unevenly, surgery re-establishes balance and proportion planned in three dimensions for a natural, lasting result.
OVERVIEW
Restoring balance to an uneven face
Facial asymmetry can develop from growth, injury, or a jaw that hasn’t developed evenly on both sides. For many patients it affects both function — how the bite meets — and confidence.
Every case is modelled in three dimensions from detailed imaging, so the degree and direction of correction needed is mapped precisely before the operation is planned.
- Re-establishing symmetry and natural facial proportion
- Correcting bite problems linked to uneven jaw growth
- A single, well-planned procedure rather than guesswork
IS IT RIGHT FOR YOU?
You may be a candidate if…
- One side of your jaw or face appears larger or lower
- Your bite doesn't meet evenly on both sides
- Asymmetry developed gradually or after an injury
- You want a specialist assessment of the cause
“True symmetry isn’t about making both sides identical — it’s about restoring balance in a way that still looks like you.”
— Mr Nabeel Bhatti
THE PROCESS
How your treatment unfolds
01
Consultation & imaging
A thorough assessment and 3D scans identify the cause and extent.
02
3D surgical planning
Your correction is modelled and rehearsed before the day itself.
03
The operation
Performed by Mr Bhatti with meticulous attention to balance and proportion.
04
Recovery & review
Structured follow-up supports a full, well-monitored recovery.
RECOVERY & OUTCOMES
What to expect afterwards
The first days
Swelling is greatest in the first 48–72 hours, then steadily improves.
The first weeks
A staged return to work and normal routine, with close follow-up.
Longer term
Final facial balance settles over several months.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Facial Asymmetry Surgery, answered
What causes facial asymmetry?
Common causes include uneven jaw growth, previous injury, or a joint condition affecting one side more than the other. Imaging identifies the cause before planning begins.
Will the results look natural?
Yes. The aim is a balanced, proportionate result that still looks like you — not an artificial or overcorrected appearance.
Is this the same as jaw surgery?
They can overlap. Jaw surgery corrects bite and jaw position; asymmetry surgery may involve the jaw, cheekbones or soft tissue.
